It was a great time at the event hosted by REESAFRICA on mental health and how volunteering can help combat mental instability.

When you offer to be part of something freely and selflessly by contributing your time, energy and love without asking for anything in return.

GET THE MOST OUT OF VOLUNTEERING

  • Ask questions:You want to make sure that the experience is right for your skills, your goals, and the time you want to spend.
  • Make sure you know what is expected: You should be comfortable with the organization and understand the time commitment.
  • Do not be afraid to make a change:Do not force yourself into a bad fit or feel compelled to stick with a volunteer role you dislike.
  • Enjoy yourself:The best volunteer experiences benefit both the volunteer and the organization. If you are not enjoying yourself, ask yourself why.
